Guest Blogging
Sharp Words welcomes guest bloggers! If you’re interested, drop a comment here or email me via the contact form.
Guidelines for Guest Bloggers
- The subject of your post can be anything reading- or writing-related. It can follow on from a topic previously posted on Sharp Words (in which case, please reference that post), or can be something entirely new. Please run the subject of your post past me before submitting it so I don’t end up with things on the same topic!
- The length of the post should be around 500 - 1000 words. Anything longer may end up partly behind a <more> tag.
- There is no need to plug your own blog in the post unless it’s relevant to the topic. Each guest post will be followed by a brief write-up about the guest’s own blog (nominate one if you have several).
- You don’t have to make any reference to me or the Sharp Words blog in the post, either (again, unless it’s relevant to the topic). Flattery will really get you nowhere! (Well, ok, maybe there a few exceptions.)
- I reserve the right to correct spelling and really appalling grammar; if I make any changes, you will have a chance to OK these before the guest post is published.
- Guest posts will generally go up on alternate Tuesdays, with no post from me on the next day so that the guest gets a couple of days’ exposure at the top of the page. I’ll discuss deadlines with you when the subject is agreed.
Thanks!
