Stuff I like on the internet (31/07/08)
I know it’s not that long since my last one of these posts, but I’ve seen a lot of interesting stuff lately that I wanted to share.
- “First Readers” – Storytellersunplugged – the importance of having someone read over your work before you take it any further
- “You’ve finished your book, now what?” – Emerging Writer – quick advice on what to do next
- “Say It Ain’t So: Grammar Rules You Can Break” – Miss Write – are these particular rules redundant?
- “Me, Myself and I” (Part 1 and Part 2) – DeepGenre – how to write successfully from the first person point of view
- “10 Tips for Writing Fast Fiction” – Stony River Farm – great tips for how to meet short-term word-count goals (as I’m trying to do at the moment)
- “HALT Your Way to Better Business” – Men With Pens – learning to get in touch with how you really feel, and how that can improve your writing
- Wordle creates word-clouds from any bits of text you want to give it. Great to play with!

Thanks! good keepers out of that link list.

I read this comment on the Admin page and went ‘huh? Mr T?’ though of course now I’ve looked at it in context of the post, I know what you’re talking about.
If you’re not familiar with Dinosaur Comics, the same six pictures are used every time. Sometimes the fact T Rex is stomping a person is mentioned. Generally not, though.
