Exquisite corpse (July 4th 2008)
Even though I have no idea why it’s called that or where the idea comes from, I decided to take part in Exquisite Corpse at Before I Am Famous. Basically, people contribute words as specified (e.g. adjective noun noun verb for this one) and they’re slid together into a poem, which can have some pretty interesting results.
Last week’s theme was ‘heat’ and this is what was produced:
Fire Loins
Hot cayenne peppers ripening
scorching blaze skin sizzling
sullen puddle drops rising
warm hands breath sighing
sweet hope warmth grows
enraptured volcano sun spewing
(Actually, the rules are here. Have a look.)

This is a game created by people who were surrealists. Why is it called exquisite corpse, it came from a poem created with this game the full line is exquisite corpse drinks red wine. At least that is what I gathered from Wiki. I hope it helps

Ahhh, that’s interesting (sorry I was too lazy to look it up myself) and makes a certain kind of sense as to why the word structure isn’t necessarily grammatical. Cheers.
