Search terms #3

Here are some more of the words and phrases which produce my blog when people search for them:

  • why, commas are important (or in the case of Google search, why commas make no difference, since this term brought up a post of mine entitled Why commas are important)
  • weasel phrases (no, I have no idea either unless they were looking for that well-known quote about eagles soaring but weasels not getting sucked into jet engines)
  • thank you for reviewing the documentation (no, thank you)
  • tautology word processor (and I have no idea on this one either, but it sounds like something I’d like to have)
  • sharp go to sleep (if you insist…)

I love the comma. I’m always getting ” ” or // and other weird symbols. I don’t know what they think it does.

Those searches really make you wonder about people, don’t they? Weasel phrases? What? :)

I thought the only people who used weasel words were politicians. :)

‘Weasel Phrases’ could make a song title perhaps…

    You hissed weasel phrases
    shed crocodile tears
loved me as a cobra might
and left after two doggie years

    hmm.. p’rhaps not! :)

I dunno Ken, I thought you were doing ok until the ‘doggie years’ line.

Yummy - there was some Dilbert connection to weasels too, I believe, but I don’t remember exactly what or how.

All, thanks for stopping by and commenting on Jean and my review of Prince Caspian!

It’s a fun movie that I’m sure you will enjoy. After you see it, it would be great if you could comment back here and let me know what you thought of the movie.

Catherine and Ken, thanks for your kind words, and yes, it’s a lot of fun collaborating with someone else on a blog post. Jean and I had a lot of fun doing this.

Courtney, I’m glad you were paying attention. It’s true, Peter is the High King, but don’t worry, I can take a little ribbing. ;)
