[I decided to re-read this because I watched Marie Antoinette on Saturday night, and was reminded of Sofia Coppola's other project with Kirsten Dunst; namely, The Virgin Suicides which, although I have it on video, I haven't seen in ages. Because I didn't have time to watch the film, I decided to read the book instead... which might not sound like it makes sense, since a book takes longer to read than a film to watch (usually), but a book can be read in short bursts whereas a film requires a longer period of concentration....]

[Annoyingly, I only discovered this was the 3rd in a trilogy when I got it home - there was nothing obvious on the cover. It worked OK as a stand-alone, but I wouldn't mind reading the others.]

As of yesterday, I have written 1018 words - which can only be described as a pitiful total for 9 days of writing. It’s partly explained by the fact that I only wrote on 4 of those days, and only for less than 10 minutes at a time… but that’s not an excuse for the crummy total.

It’s not even that the ideas aren’t there, because they are. I just seem to be lacking the impetus. I’d like to write at least 1000 words today - maybe even double my total - which is hardly a difficuly proposition. We’ll just have to see.
